What’s it like to be a black immigrant living in the “post-racial” United States of America? Well this blog seeks to answer that question. My commentaries and criticisms will focus on issues pertaining to the African Diaspora as seen through my eyes tackling race and racism as they appear in everyday circumstances. Though a lot of the content in this blog will focus on the US and its issues with race, I will also discuss how race and racism operate transnationally, in regions like the Caribbean and Latin America. I will also address what it is like to be an immigrant raised in the United States but still hold on to the cultural identity of my birthplace, Jamaica. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to follow to receive new posts when they’re up!
